The Philadelphia Zoo's polar bears always seem perfectly happy during the hottest days of summer. They take naps or swim in their pool. And the really interesting thing I have noticed is that the first time it snows each winter, they seem irritated. In fact, the only time I have seen them actually seem to enjoy the snow was one winter when the third snowfall was more than a foot deep!
