The High Court in its judgment dated 6th May, 2016 had ordered Goa government and other respondent competent authorities to restore back some illegally encroached plots of Serula Communidade and properties built on it to the communidade. But, even after 2 and half years, authorities have failed to comply with the High Court's order and restore the illegally encroached plots back to Serula communidade. Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte has informed Prudent that he had asked North Goa Collector to comply with the orders of the High Court, but he still awaits report from the Collector. 
The High Court on 6th May, 2016 while disposing off 2 Public Interest Litigation filed by Trajano D'Melo and others had directed Goa government and other respondent competent authorities to restore illegally encroached plots of Serula Communidade bearing survey no. 376/6, 379, 379/1, 380/1 and 389/1 along with the properties built on it back to the communidade. This order was challenged by some respondents before the Supreme Court, which was rejected. But, so far the properties have not been restored back to Serula Communidade. Prudent has learnt that the process to restore the land and properties back to the Communidade has been stuck in the red tapism.
