When applying for a Canadian Marriage Certificate in Northwest Territories, bare in mind that there are two certificate forms available -- the wallet-size short form and the long form. The wallet-size certificate holds the names of both of the parties to the marriage, as well as the place and date of the marriage and registration number and date. The long form certificate contains the same information as the short form with the addition of the parties' birthplaces. Note that if either party's name is longer than 40 written characters the only form available is the long form.
