DO YOU FEEL INNOCENT AND PURE?
Pre-Yom Kippur Workshop, 10/5/11

Besides for newborn children is there anyone in the world that feels innocent and pure? Sure, we all have our measure of denial, and some have mastered the art of blaming everyone but themselves for any wrongdoing, but most of us (healthy ones) also know that somwhere along the road we lost our innocence. Sure, many also suffer from guilt, and often over things that we are not even guilty of, yet that doesn't mean that our lives are clean without indiscretions. Even about a tzaddik, the verse tells us: "there is no tzaddik on earth that has done good and not sinned."

"Ok," you may ask, "what else is new? All this is obvious. No one needs to be reminded that we are not innocent." Ahh, but the big question is this: Even after we have lost our innocence, have we really lost it entirely? Can we regain our innocence? Is there a way back to Paradise? THIS is the theme of Yom Kippur. Not guilt and confession; but reclaiming our innocence -- who we truly are, and what we are seriously capable of.

Please join Rabbi Jacobson in a moving pre-Yom Kippur session, and discover the real nature of innocence, and where it "goes" when we wander off course. Learn how to use Yom Kippur as an instrument to reenter your personal "holy of holies" -- where your purest you is anxiously waiting to meet you.
