This was a long day of travel from Colombia back home to Canada. We travelled from Medellín to Panama City to Houston to Toronto - four countries in one day! We left Colombia suuuuuper early in the morning and I didn't sleep a wink the night before. We took an Uber up the winding mountain road out of the valley towards the airport - luckily there's not much traffic in the middle of the night. I was happy to find my favourite cafe in Medellín - Pergamino - had an outlet at the terminal so we enjoyed one last Colombian latte before departure. Unfortunately I had a bad head cold which made the flight really unenjoyable because my head was hurting so badly I thought it might explode. I was having excruciating pain along my eyebrows and spent most of the flight in agony. It was worst during the descent. We landed in Panama City and had a short break before heading further north towards Houston. I was feeling pretty exhausted by that point and our gate was changed at the last minute to a different terminal so we had to hustle to make the plane. Luckily we got there as they were still boarding. The flight back to Canada already felt like home. I'm so excited to spend time with friends and family for a bit. It's been such a whirlwind this year since we became nomads and we can't wait to see what's next!
