This is a REPLICA of the classic 1968 Planet of the Apes gorilla carbine screen-used prop. It is a non-firing "dummy" model with no moving parts, except for the spring-loaded trigger assembly. This amazing replica was meticulously patterned and detailed by master Hollywood modelers to match the original screen-used rifle props used in the classic 1968 Planet of the Apes film. Painstaking amounts of time and attention were paid to even the smallest of details while re-creating this sci-fi cinema icon. Unlike the original movie props, which were made from simple pine wood, there is no wood anywhere on this prop. The expert painters are fooling your eyes! The stock is a composite of fiberglass, urethane and epoxy resins, expertly detailed and, to protect the finish from strong armed gorilla soldiers in the field, finished with a hi-gloss automotive clear-coat. This model has been sanded to a "satin" finish. See our other videos for "polished" and "hi-gloss" finishes for these dummy versions, as well as deluxe airsoft, and sport/target stocks for M-1 and 10/22 enthusiasts. Us ape kids always wanted one of these when way back in the day, but Mattel was only rehashing old cowboy pistols, Winchesters, and Tommy Guns... http://apemania.com/TOYS/ToyMasks&guns.jpeg http://apemania.com/TOYS/WHAT_IT_WASx3.jpg Slapping a Planet of the Apes sticker on a six shooter doesn't make it a Planet of the Apes gun! Who did they think they were kidding? Not us kids! So we made our own! http://apemania.com/ACCESSORIES/Accessories_Page.htm DELUXE 1968 POTA GORILLA CARBINE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iq7oel9T0zo BENEATH the Planet of the Apes REPLICA CARBINE DELUXE AIRSOFT MODEL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfiefpmnKuk ECONOMY 1968 POTA GORILLA CARBINE (cosplay model) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QHy9CzXKIo ECONOMY 1970 BENEATH the POTA GORILLA CARBINE (cosplay prop) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iRQMYpNikPY&t=10s REPLICA 1970 BENEATH the Planet of the Apes URSUS PISTOL (cosplay prop) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g04EgoqmgJk
