While the Hanzo girls and most of the Crimson Squad were spending some quality time with each other, Hikage was just watching them all from a distance. She was then approached by Homura's attempted killer, the grudged-filled Tsumuji.

She was disgusted that the Hanzo girls, good shinobi, were getting along with these Hebijo renegades, who are still evil shinobi. She went to Hikage to cope with this because she thought she was the only one of the renegades that would understand her stress with this.

The whole Crimson Squad, including Hikage, already knew of Tsumuji past attempts and failures at killing Homura. She's gotten so pissed with this that she just complained to her face over how she won't just die already. At the same time, Hikage had to wonder why Homura just doesn't try to kill her, instead.

Hikage admits that she doesn't know what it means to be friendly. This ends up completely changing Tsumuji, as she has now lost the will to kill Homura. For now, at least. She approached her with the announcement that she'll train harder to that she can finally be capable of beating her.

It's from this that Hikage realizes that Tsumuji may not actually hate Homura, but instead likes her, while being to embarrassed to admit it. This sense of denial reminded Hikage of the attitude Mirai has at times. This is called being a “Tsundere”.

And its this same kind of building bond that Hikage may have grown against her fights with Katsuragi. It seems that Tsumuji and Homura are looking at each other the same way now. Despite all of this emotion, however, Hikage was still stumped by it all, because she still didn’t understand how emotions work.

When Haruka noticed Hikage's gloominess and depression over this, which is as much emotion as she can usually display, Haruka gives her a drug to drink which is said to help her with her socializing issues.

Hikage then takes the drug drink, and things start to get really weird for her from there...

Hikage then meets up with Katsuragi. Her grey and mellow attitude has completely changed from the drug Haruka gave her. She now sounded more preppy, and full of energy. This spooked Katsuragi something fierce, as she wasn't use to seeing her friend like this. She even groped her like crazy!

Having gone crazy in the head, Katsuragi had to snap her out of it.

The cutscene leading up to this mission was pretty fun, but it has no bearing on the gameplay itself as Hikage's the same as she's always been. So for this mission, just use her to beat Katsuragi, despite this scenario looking like something for Kat to solve.

Katsuragi was able to knock Hikage back to her normal, lazy self. She couldn't remember any of the insanity she was displaying before, but Katsuragi will remember everything for as long as she lives.

Hikage then regrets taking the drug Haruka gave her, now thinking it was the wrong way to help her talk to people. Katsuragi cheers her up, by saying she's fine just the way she is now, and that she doesn't even need to talk in order to get along with people. Just as long as both sides have trust in each other.

With that water under the bridge, Katsuragi wonders if Hikage as anymore of Haruka's drug, as she's eager to use it on Ikaruga. That's when Hikage knows to just get rid of the drug for good.
