Thanks to Brad (v8jagnut) for getting me this BMW 323 coupe.

The other vids were of trying to dislodge dirt in one of the SU carburetors that was blocking the float needle and causing fuel to flood out of the overflow tube.

it turned out to be a bit of Teflon tape used to fit one of those fake fuel saving devices.
