We aim to reinforce UNDP's work on livelihoods and economic recovery in crisis and post crisis situations by adopting a more integrated approach to livelihood recovery, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration, and mine action. Our work starts early in crisis and post crisis environments, and provides peace dividends and recovery results early on. It enhances security and aims to quickly create the foundation for long term recovery and development. While in the short term we aim to stabilize crisis affected people's livelihoods, in the long term we enable inclusive economic growth and poverty reduction in crisis and post crisis countries.
