"Río Sena" ("River Seine") was written by Astor Piazzolla in 1955, while he was studying in Paris with Nadia Boulanger. Henry Mancini appears to have used the theme from "Río Sena" in 1963 for music that he composed for "The Pink Panther". In fact in the opening scenes of the movie, as the camera pans over the River Seine, Piazzolla's theme can be heard on the sound track. Piazzolla is not credited. "Río Sena" as performed here was arranged for organ by Harry Garland.
