From the NE Florida Bald Eagle Nest, sponsored by the American Eagle Foundation. During the last stages of hatching shortly after midnight (Dec. 22 and into Dec. 23 EST), the egg breaks entirely away from the eaglet, and, with help from Mom (who rolls the egg, accelerating the process), little E2 is out! We are happy to report that both eaglets in this NE Florida nest are doing fine. Many thanks to Pete Wachsberger who did the video!
