Snowfall accumulations exceeded forecasts, with some areas receiving over a foot of snow. 10" was reported in downtown Rapid City. Several flights out of Rapid City Regional Airport were cancelled, and all area schools were closed. Numerous vehicles lost control and slid off Interstate 90 during periods of low visibility.
