Elizabeth Warren's home in Massachusetts on Thursday after a series of pipe bombs were mailed to high-profile critics of U.S. President Donald Trump. Warren, who is running for re-election next month, has been a vocal critic of the president and is mulling a challenge to Trump in 2020. Law enforcement agencies were racing Thursday to identify the bomber and intercept potential packages that may not have reached their targets. A uniformed police officer with a dog and plain-cloth colleagues were seen near Warren's home on Thursday. But the senator was not at liberty to discuss the visible security, saying law enforcement officials have asked her not to publicly discuss such arrangements. She was critical of the nation's highly-charged political atmosphere that is often punctuated by belligerent language that may have encourage violence in others. Warren noted that sending pipe bombs is a far cry from civilized expression of political disagreements around hard-fought issues. She noted that the explosive devices are a reminder that some individuals have stepped over the line and that they are ultimately responsible for their actions.
