I ran 60 meters for the third time this year, for the first time at full speed and no hitching in the drive, after an extremely lengthy calf tendon rehab period (25 years of jogging, swimming and lifting). What stops me now is not calfs but big toes I've showed in previous videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIzqe2zFeGs

I used my Puma Evospeed1 Indoor shoes I've been running shorter bits in before:

As usual, they came from the discount table (Stadium shop) since I have broader "blades" than usual. Like others, I haven't been able to figure out what these shoes were intended for. They have an outer sole that is not suitable for floorball, since it's not even, it has an edge in the middle part that would cause the foot to bend when stepping on apparel. I use these shoes for walks, I have done weekly walks over 10 km since February and mostly used these. Just the days before this run I broke a sole (squish-squish) but it didn't affect racing.

The track was so damp that there was no reason sitting down starting since I would only slip. The shoes were also wet inside from a long walk, and I can't use the inner soles while running full speed (it wouldn't be full speed) so feet were slipping inside. I solved the problem with unually hard tieing. I have never owned any spiked shoes since I haven't found the right ones yet.

I did 18 strides (36 steps) over 60 meters which is about the same step length as when on 400 meters (250 steps, 125 strides).

Unusually, I did a pretty heavy gym workout before the run, with calf raises up to 285 kg, normally I would instead use a rest day before running. But this time swollen limbs (calfs, triceps and forearms) worked for some reason...

Bodyweight is 107 kg, too much for great times.
Bodyfat is 11%, too much for great times.

Leg press max that I've dared to try is 350 kg which is a bit too little for dash at my height. I start quickly but with my big frame I need more oomph when air resistance sets in.

I don't know what I would be able to do if toes were working, but the difference would be significant.
