Designed by Debbie Glassberg and BNIM, this 2009 three-bedroom home is Kansas City’s first container residence. Built of five shipping containers this 2,600 square-foot is extolled for its colorful exterior, modern interior and its eco-friendly features, which include sugar-beet foam insulation. The containers and glass walls infill, pieced together with a steel and concrete framework, create space a ubiquitous residence that contains; a large two-person office, a loft bedroom, a large master suite with two walk-in closets, a laundry area and a bathroom, two additional full bathrooms and a TV room with space for guests to sleep.
