Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a beautiful 2005 Ford Thunderbird 50th Anniversary Edition. Ford brought back the Thunderbird after a short hiatus for the 2002 model year with a retro designed body made to mimic the first generation Thunderbirds. This new body style made a big splash and sold more than expected in 2002. The new body style was even chosen for the 2002 James Bond film Die Another Day, starring Pierce Bosnon and Halle Barry. Halle Barry's character drove a coral colored T-Bird which led to a James Bond edition Thunderbird. This particular example is the 50th Anniversary Edition. This car is finished in jet black with a very attractive red/black two tone leather interior. The car is powered by the Jaguar developed 3.9 Liter V8 which was used in the Lincoln LS of the same time period. This V8 provided ample power at 280 HP. The V8 is backed by a 5 speed automatic with Select Shift. Power is delivered to the rear wheels in keeping with the tradition Thunderbird layout. The Thunderbird has the flexibility of having a folding fabric convertible top, as well as a removable hard top with instantly recognizable port hole windows. The car is loaded with luxury options including: heated leather seats, CD player, power seats, power windows, keyless entry, alloy wheels, and power tilt column. This car is hardly broken in with only 26,517 miles and is ready for another 26k. This would be a great car for shows, sunny days cruises, or to drive every day.
