In this film, I concentrate on the primeval aspects of music: rhythm and dynamics. When recording, these two aspects, in my view, are the most important to get right. Tight rhythms make the tune groove, and wide dynamic control means the tune will almost mix itself!

Using GarageBand on iPad iOS, playing to slow drum rhythms is a great way to tighten up rhythm, and internalising the beat. GarageBand will allow tempos down to 40bpm.
