Attempted morning walk in Saint Petersburg

I like to get up before dawn to have a walk before breakfast and this is what I am trying here, especially as my hotel is bang on the sea front so should have some nice walks... in theory. It is early October but as you can see here it is as dark as night in Saint Petersburg. I like this as it means there is more light later. As far as the clock is concerned, Russia has got it right in my opinion, in summer it is two hours ahead of Europe and winter three. Russia has led the world on abolishing winter time, so far no-one else has followed but I live in hope that we will too!
