For millions of years we have evolved through natural selection at the same rhythm as our environment, which kept us in symbiosis. Industrial revolutions from past centuries allowed our species to evolve much faster thanks to technology, dramatically improving our standard of living, but also changing our relation with our environment into parasitism. Building on emerging technologies, startups from the Hello Tomorrow Challenge are already paving the way towards a third phase of conscious symbiosis. Arnaud is the co-founder and vice-president of Hello Tomorrow. Hello Tomorrow is a non-profit organisation bringing together a community of actors aiming to unlock the potential of deep technologies to solve the world’s toughest challenges. Before that, Arnaud completed a Ph.D. in the photovoltaic industry, and worked for 2 years as a strategic consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Paris. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
