Nice swing dance number performed by the Dartmouth College Barbary Coast Orchestra, recorded Dec 7, 1942. Not a whole lot of info available for the orchestra during this period. Found these old recordings at a garage sale. This looks like a studio recording. I don't know if any of these tunes ever made it to a major label. Might be pretty rare... These recordings can be downloaded free at: http://78records.cdbpdx.com/BCO/ Enjoy! Enjoy! Just got a 1943 AEGIS (Dartmouth College Yearbook) and here is the band: The band members are listed as: Saxophones Rudolph G. Whitten, Russell E. Chase, William M. Stahl, Charles R. Lazo Trumpets Leon J. P. Chapman, George W. Miller, Walter H. Olin Trombones James E. Rudnick, Norman L. Simpson Piano Herbert F. Storfer BASS Eugene Roitman Drums Kenneth F. Eldredge
