Farm spot:
It's really simple, just start the game at Act 1, Quest 9 - The Cursed Hold--and do the entire rest of the act. Try to get 5 stacks of Nephalem Valor asap, and then once you get those 5 stacks try to skip to the bosses.

Stampede is interchangeable, I find it more useful in Act 2--you could probably change it to Bat Companion in Act 1 for some faster Hatred regen.

Bow vs Xbow:
If money weren't an issue, the Bow is definitely better overall. However I got my 1052 DPS +18% attack speed Xbow considerably cheaper than its Bow equivalent, so that's what I'm using at the moment.
