Before you comment - Yes, I am aware the "oohs" are from 22 by Taylor Swift; keep reading and find out why I did this. (:

So a couple months ago before I moved, I had this big goodbye-cookout/sleepover and invited a bunch of my friends. During the sleepover, it was like 2 am and I pulled out my guitar and we all started this jam session, in particular singing 22 by Taylor Swift (I wanted to incorporate that song especially, that's why I used those "oohs" :P). It was such an amazing moment because I was looking around and seeing all six of us singing at the top of our lungs in unison, forgetting all that was about to happen, and all the drama we'd dealt with before, just enjoying this moment.
So I had to write a song about it.
The slide show of pictures during the bridge is a documentation of my 2 years in that town and the amazing friends I made.
Oh yeah! And I passed through the auditions in Nashville! I'm driving back tomorrow to perform at the semi-finals! I'll be updating on my facebook and twitter so make sure you find me on those sites! (my internet's being slow, I can't link you.)

Lyrics ©

We made a pact now didn't we
We've kept it going from the start
That no one could tell us who to be
Not mean girls, sad songs, or broken hearts

Why do we care what people say
These days you don't know what is true
Why don't we forget it all today
And make it impossible to do the same with you (:

It's 2 AM and no one's sleepin'
I say it's time we find a beat and

Chorus
We swore we would never grow up too soon,
Screamin Taylor Swift in an empty room
And we wished on a star and a single guitar
Singing perfectly out of tune...
Ooh, Ooh

We're lettin' time just pass us by
Another night just slips away
Who knows when we'll all say goodbye
But in this moment now, tomorrow's just another day

It's 2 AM and way too quiet
We don't know this song, but hey let's try it

Repeat Chorus

And by the chance that I see you again
I hope we dance like this night never ended
Someday I'll look at the pictures of you
Sing a song or two
And remember

Being surrounded by all that I love
The longest song never could be enough
And I still look at the pictures of you
And I hope you do too
And remember..

Repeat Chorus

Thanks for watching and listening and reading, I hope you loved it (:
