Morobe PPC Responds to Queries on Evictions

Morobe Provincial Police Commander Augustine Wampe responded to queries regarding the Tanam evictions over the weekend. He says, police conducted evictions following a court order issued to them, in favor of a newly registered Incorporated Land Group. Landowners in the area, however have stated that the land groups in the ILG, are not recognized clans in the area.
