FRESNO, California - A solo motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle on Highway 180, California Highway Patrol says Saturday.

Just before 5:10 p.m., reports of a man lying in the roadway came into CHP dispatch while his motorcycle was reportedly engulfed in flames near the Chestnut Avenue on-ramp, CHP spokesperson Vic Taylor says.

He says the unidentified motorcyclist crossed over cobblestone covered ground attempting to get onto the on-ramp, lost control and was ejected.
