As an introduction to the praise, Making Requests to the Guru, in the lama Chopa Puja, Rinpoche remembers the kindness of Lama Yeshe: Every positive thing that I do and every virtuous thought comes from Lama. Every virtue I collect through guru devotion comes from Lama. That becomes cause to achieve liberation. It becomes the remedy of samsara. Furthermore, every virtue through renunciation and bodhichitta, understanding emptiness and dependent arising which cuts the ignorance of holding things as truly existent, bringing the result of enlightenment, all this comes from Lama’s kindness.
