Well josettes brother isn't as hard as you would think, in fact he's easier, just make sure you buy all equip and weapons from bose market and get around lvl 15. I actually took this fight on lvl 16, so piece of cake, almost overkill. If you engage him at a lower lvl just make sure you use silence on him first. His grenade sucks though. A good place to get lvl 15-16 is nebel valley. But the monsters are kinda dangerous since they freeze you every now and then. Also, there are excellent items in there, like a weapon for joshua that gives him +30 str, which i totally recommend, since he will be your strongest fighter in the team for most of the game. Try collecting all the sepiths you can to make better orbment and get powerful spells that make your life easier.
