'Hotpot' rivers dazzle tourists in southwest China

The spectacular scene of different-colored water fusing together dazzled onlookers in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on August 18. A tourist said that the view reminded him of the double-flavor hotpot, with a plain and spicy soup base. The place is Chaotianmen, which is located at the joining of the Yangtze River and Jialing River. This scene usually appears every year during the flood season as a result of the mixing of different sediments from the two rivers.
