In March 1971 one of the foremost avant-garde composers of the 20th Century Karlheinz Stockhausen visited Soweto, accompanied by black consciousness activist Steve Biko. Needless to say there's little archival evidence of this meeting, what their conversation was, what were the topics they might have covered? Music? Politics? Now Renowned South African composer and sound artist Philip Miller has put together an imagined dialogue between the two leaders using a series of selected fragmented archival sound recordings, photographs and music. He has assembled some of the country's talented creatives such as Tlale Makhene and Siya Makuzeni to bring this project titled BIKOHAUSEN to life. Philip Miller & vocalist Vus'umuzi Nhlapo joins us now to tell us more about BIKOHAUSEN . For more news, visit: http://www.sabc.co.za/news
