Hej bracia, czy wy śpicie [Hey, Brothers, Are You Sleeping?] Kolęda (Polish Christmas Carol) – Wiktor Brégy, tenor & Chór Harfa pod  dyr. W. Lachmana, Syrena-Electro 1930 (Polish)

NOTE: Wiktor Brégy (b. 1903 Kiev, Russian Empire – d. 1976 Warsaw) – Polish tenor of the European notability; he studied law in the Warsaw University, then he turned to operatic singing and studied privately with the renowned Polish singers (e.g. Adela Comte-Wilgocka). In 1928 Brégy was contracted at the Grand Theatre in Warsaw as a solo star and in 1931-33 he signed with Opéra Comique in Paris. Until outbreak of the 2nd WW Brégy performed in Zurich, Basel and Bern, then he returned to Warsaw when the Germans and Soviets attacked Poland in Sept 1939. In the occupied Warsaw he was engaged in the clandestine cultural movement and in 1940 was arrested by Gestapo. Imprisoned in a concentration camp of Stutthof and Altvorwerk he managed to escape and the rest of German occupation of Poland he was hiding in Cracow. After the war, Brégy continued his career in Warsaw.

gdy nowina taka słynie!

         3. Do Betlejem bieżcie,
             tam Dziecię znajdziecie
             w żłobie położone.
             Pójdźcież już spieszno, nie mieszkajcie,
             a Dzieciątko oglądajcie.
