A half trip turned out to be a spectacular day. I was fishing in less than one foot of water next to a small island in West Bay Galveston. The bait was on edge as game fish were feeding aggressively. I managed to find two schools of reds working a small grass line. And I staked out the kayak just within casting distance for my tiny ultralight gear. Topwater blowups are so awesome to see but ultralight topwaters are something else!!!
