Koi Pond Emerging From Spring, only have about half the clean up done. Put a barley bail in the filer flow to slowly decrease the algae. Until they get used to me feeding them, the fish seem to eat it, hide in it, play with it etc so I am leaving one area long until the barley takes over. First time koi pond owner so I am learning as I go. Added really nice silk lily pads that have already been used by frogs and the fish hang out under them all day. Also installed underwater lights and an air stone in the middle of the pond. Various decorative things too of course and landscaping. A lot of fun, I hope my fish get used to me. I have named them all "fish".
