SIDNEY -- A Sidney mother has a warning for parents after her son was injured while riding an ATV.Seven-year-old son Nickolas was riding without a helmet when he collided head-on into a truck. He cracked his skull, broke his nose, and elbow.Amazingly he survived, but his mother, Jamie Hodapp is now urging parents to teach their children about ATV and bike safety."Let's wear our pads and our helmets make sure we're properly instructed on how to use them - start stop kill switches make sure you have an adult present," said Hodapp.Summer is known as "crunch time," because children under the age of 16 are four-times more likely to be injured in an ATV accident than any other time of the year.
