A Tommy Makem composition, this is another of those rare songs I managed to work out for myself from the score in the Clancy Brothers Irish Song Book. It is therefore my own interpretation and may not be as Tommy performed it. It is one of my many favourites by that great man. If I were to be given the fabulous 'three wishes' the first I would use would be to spend at least one evening in the company of Tommy and join him in making music.
