Simon is a photography journalist over 10 years before he started his career in culture preservation. Wu's photos focus on the lower-class citizens. In 1990s, he held an exhibition to show the true reasons of poverty behind social prosperity. He is also the founder of Hulu Culture, a Hong Kong non-profit organisation which was established in 2004 dedicated to protecting Hong Kong traditional culture and heritage. In this talk he showed his portraits of old Hong Kong times. About TEDx In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
