Hostage stand off in Yonkers

There was a heavy Police action on 191 Park Ave - Yonkers from 5:00pm yesterday until 5:00am this morning (8/4/15). This all thing started when a probation officer was looking for someone....and this person refused to let the probation officers in. Probation Officers called the YPD for assistance....at this point, the suspect did not allow his girlfriend to come and out and due to this.....This was classified as a HOSTAGE SITUATION. At 5:00am this morning the suspect gave up, he was immediately arrested and the hostage released. I must say that I am amazed by how the Yonkers Police Dept handles this type of situation. They dont rush into a resolution and take their time in order to prevent an escalation.
