Surveillance video showed two robbers bursting into a hotel lobby. Tuesday night, two armed and masked men barged into the Baymont Inn at 8601 Hillcrest Road. One of the men had an AK-47, forced a guest to drop to the ground and took his wallet. The other robber jumped over the counter, grabbing money from the cash register. He tried to make the clerk open the safe. Before the two robbers left, they took money out of the guest's wallet and gave the wallet back to the guest. No one was injured. Anyone with information in the case can call the Crime Stoppers TIPS hot line at 816-474-TIPS.
