Police Investigating A Vehicle Vs Pedestrian Collision In Modesto, California - News Footage

This afternoon at around 7:00 pm the Modesto Police Department, Modesto Regional Fire Authority, and AMR Ambulance Service were dispatched to the intersection of H Street and 9th Street in Downtown Modesto, California for reports that a woman had been stuck but a vehicle in the intersection. When police arrived they found the pedestrian laying in the roadway with the vehicle and the driver still on the scene. The EMS workers set to work stabilizing the woman while the police officers began their accident investigation. The woman was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. Her current condition is unknown. Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor and the driver of the vehicle was not charged with any crime. The details of the crash are still under investigation however police have already been able to confirm that the woman was in the crosswalk at the time of the accident and that the driver was attempting a westbound turn from the northbound turning lane of 9th Street.
