After his studies as a civil engineer in Stuttgart, Ralf Thomas worked several years as a project engineer. Since 2006 he is responsible for the "integrated traffic control center" (IVLZ) which plays a leading role in the traffic flow around Stuttgart. He will tell us some of the basics and some specialties what Stuttgart is able to do with it and what the future might bring. (Note: This is the fixed version of the recording - the original video had issues with the sound.) In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
