This video I've decided to do something special and take my latest creation all the way to Laythe and back. The mission went pretty well until right at the end when a misjudged burn sent our brave crew hurtling towards the frigid waters around the polar ice sheet! Will Bill Kerman get eaten by penguins? Or will a bit of quick thinking by Jebedia Kerbin save the day? Stay tuned to find out! Music is from the wonderful Curtis Mayfield.
In my humble opinion the Stratos is my best light VTOL yet and combines all the best elements of the Skeeter, R-type, Scythe and Corgi. It features detachable drop tanks, RCS Pods and you even have the option of ejecting the air intake stacks, all of this without affecting the center of mass, Yay! A new front mounted port makes docking and re-fueling a breeze, and a drag management system ensures stable handling at all speeds. All in all it's a fitting end to my single engine SSTO line, as I'm going to start concentrating on refreshing my utility drop ships and work on some nuke powered SSTOs.
Enjoy!
