After my hike to Mount Noble lookout tower I took two quick stops to enjoy Mingo Falls and Soco Falls before heading home. These are both located within the Qualla Boundary of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Both "hikes" are little more than a few hundred feet of stairs. These are both great waterfalls to visit with kids. I didn't spend much time at either because it started raining when I got to Mingo Falls and was around 45F. The ice was too thick and slippery to make a safe descent to the base of Soco Falls.
