Grown on a bare patch of soil without disturbance at high density, this is an incredible example of dry farming in extreme situations. Edible leaves meant that I could have eaten from this patch throughout the summer without any irrigation. Seeds at the end of the season meant that I could eat those seeds or replant next year and expect the same or better success. Hoping others take the initiative and start to train their plants to need less. Learn how to grow the impossible with Matt Powers: http://www.thepermaculturestudent.com
