Frozen Don Valley River in Toronto - Cross Country Nordic Skiing in Toronto. One good thing about this cold winter is an opportunity to ski on Don Valley river in Toronto. I haven't seen this river frozen this much and decided to explore a bit. Started at Lawrence East and Don Valley Parkway and finished at Pottery Road and Don Valley Parkway. Couldn't go further since North Toronto Watewater Treatment plant is dumping into river and it's not frozen even with this low temps.
