This week's Black Friday video is going to be a little bit different, as I will be unboxing goods from two different companies: Lisi Cosmetics and Brown Butter Beauty. 

Lisi was started by a husband and wife team out of Brooklyn, New York who saw a void in the retail market for a full-service, affordable, high end beauty brand. Named after the wife, Lisa, the brand is intended to bridge the gap between high end quality products and affordable prices, cater to women of all ethnicities, and offer a complete range of color cosmetics for lips, eyes, face and nails. 

I came across Brown Butter Beauty, a small-batch natural beauty company also based in Brooklyn, on Etsy. The all-natural line includes hair, body and skin care products, and was launched in 2007 by museum photographer Christine Gant. After having trouble finding a cream moisturizer made by a Black-owned business, I was excited to try it out!
