Jan. 8 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis talks with Bloomberg's Betty Liu about the Obama administration's efforts to create conditions for job growth in a "very stubborn recession."
The Labor Department said U.S. nonfarm payrolls dropped by 85,000 in December, more than economists projected, after a revised gain a month earlier of 4,000 that was the first increase in almost two years. The unemployment rate held at 10 percent last month. (Source: Bloomberg)
