Yes, I had to use a single whip upgrade to beat this guy. Without it, it took me 2 hours to get close...but I STILL could not beat him. It's all because of that stupid beak stab he does when his halberd is destroyed. In some instances, he'll do it twice or even three times in a row, giving you zero opportunity to hit him without taking a hit yourself. Whipping from right above him does no good either, because when he goes up, he can still hit you. Difficulty rating: 10 out of 10
