I made the mistake of hitting him with wrong magic just to make him shift his weakness, but he shifts his weakness if you use physical techs too. When it says he's risking the casting of a spell, unleash all of your best techs. With my team, you can do Triple Raid or X-Strike. Always heal up fast after Dark Matter, it's pretty powerful.
