We all come to crossroads in our lives where we'll be faced with temptation, and we have to choose how we'll respond. Joseph dealt with such a crossroads when propositioned by Potiphar's wife, but he chose to take a path of righteousness. While he made the right choice, it resulted in a trip to the royal dungeon: not an immediate blessing. Had God abandoned Joseph? Far from it. God showed him steadfast love in prison, resulting in Joseph befriending the prison master, the royal cup bearer and ultimately, Pharaoh himself. It reminds us that the short-term disappointments in our life aren't the end of the story. God may be using them to accomplish something far greater than we ever dreamed.
