2018 Onion Harest

We planted 172 onions in our garden this year. Not all of them survived. I would guess around 140 onions were harvested. Our goal was to grow about 1/2 years worth of onions, which would be about 20 pounds worth. We didn't quite make it, but if our onions would have grown bigger, we would have. My biggest Onion was 8 ounces, if they were all that size, I would have over a years worth of onions. So next year we plan on trying a different variety, so hopefully we can grow bigger onions.
