More than six years into the civil war in Syria, half of all Syrian children, or 2.8 million, in Syria and neighboring countries, don't have access to school. Some of the main reasons why involve violence, economic and social insecurity, vulnerability, poverty, discrimination, vulnerability, and language barriers and lack of information. UNICEF is working hard to provide education and opportunities for Syrian refugee children in Lebanon and to educate the global public about these children's needs through its #ImagineASchool initiative.
