video shot by Megan Moseley / Special to the Star-Advertiser On Jun 27, lava flowed from Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island. While the Kaohe Homesteads subdivision was spared by the flow, other ares of the island were greatly damaged. There is currently a 24-hour command center set up at Pahoa Community Center.
